“The Digital Harbor Foundation has announced that January 17, 2013 will mark the beginning of a new era of community tech engagement in Baltimore City.
The grand opening of the new Digital Harbor Tech Center will be held at 6 pm on January 17th and will feature a student-led tour of the new tech and maker facilities in this former Rec Center at the corner of Light and Cross Streets as well as speaking appearances by local technology inventor and entrepreneur Sean Lane and author Wes Moore.
Digital Harbor Foundation has garnered the support of the Annie E. Casey Foundation, Humanim, Microsoft, BmoreBroadband, M&T Bank, the Emerging Technology Center, the Economic Alliance of Greater Baltimore, and Digital Harbor Real Estate Development, as well as the greater Federal Hill community in creating sustainable programs that will teach highly valued tech skills while also promoting innovation and entrepreneurship among city youth.
The grand opening of the Digital Harbor Tech center is free and open to the public. The event takes place January 17th, 2013 from 6pm to 8pm. The Tech Center is located at 1045 Light Street in Federal Hill.”
